The SB Rescue System saves lives. It is easy to use and very effective.
The SB Rescue System is used worldwide by maritime personnel for recovering a casualty. The rescuer will not have to enter the water, and can recover the casualty from the boat side or steep-sided canal/lake or where there is a large vertical distance recovery.
The sling, which only weighs 3 kg, can be operated by one person and has an effective reach of up to 4.5 metres. This can be crucial for the rescue mission. Without this equipment, a casualty could be lost due to the freeboard, crew fatigue or the lack of crew numbers.
The SB Rescue Sling is approved for military use (NATO stock-listed) and is widely-used on pilot boats, workboats, small passenger craft and rescue vessels.
The system consists of:
The SB Rescue Sling consists of hoop, boat hook telescope, extender, harness and rescue line. The boat hook is simple to adapt for many different purposes: Emergency oar, propeller knife, fishing gaff, or deck brush.
The sling requires a minimum of maintenance. However, it is of the utmost importance that the harness is tested in intervals of 12 months and replaced in intervals of 3 years. The sling should be replaced in intervals of 9 years.
NB: Intended for rescuing uninjured personnel only.
Sula Vekst is certified ISO 9001:2015.

A purpose designed telescopic rescue davit, suitable for new buildings and retrofit, for mounting the SB Rescue Sling. The davit will be custom-made for each vessel.
It is manually operated, and can be installed without the need for electrical or hydraulic connections. The davit can be operated by one person, and may enable a reduction in crewing numbers (subject to regulatory authority approval).
We also provide winch if needed. The winch will be custom-made for each vessel.
